REGULAR MEETING – February 14, 2005

A Regular Meeting of the Appomattox Town Council was held on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building on Linden Street, Appomattox Virginia with Mayor Spiggle, presiding.

Members present: Joyce Bennett, N. H. “Jimmy” Mayberry, Marvin H. Mitchell,

C. Lewis McDearmon, Jr., John L. Wilson, Steven E. Lawson.

Others present: Frank Brina, Larry Mobley, Frank Wright, Jr., Town Attorney, Chad Denton, Times Virginian Newspaper, David Garrett, Town Manager and Roxanne W. Mundy, Clerk.

Mayor Spiggle called the meeting to order and gave an invocation.

On a motion by Councilmember , seconded by Councilmember

, Council voted to approve the consent agenda. All members present voting aye. Motion carried.

There was no public to comment.

There were no appearances.

On a motion by , seconded by , Council voted to convene in closed session, pursuant to §2.2-3711 (A) 1 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, for the purpose of discussion of salaries and performance of eight specific public employees of the Town Council, specifically being discussion and consideration of Employees A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H.
