REGULAR MEETING — September 13, 2004

A Regular Meeting of the Appomattox Town, Council was held on Monday, . September 13, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building with Mayor Spiggle, presiding.

Members present - N. H. Mayberry, M. H. Mitchell, C. Lewis McDearmon, Jr., John L. Wilson, Steven E. Lawson. Absent - Joyce B. Bennett.

Others present: David T. Garrett, Jr., Town Manger, A. David Hawkins, Town

Attorney, Charles Garrett, Larry Mobley, Carlton Duck, Penny Taylor, Bill Roy,

Billy Roy, Chris Roy and Roxanne W. Mundy, Town Clerk.

‘Mayor Spiggle called the meeting to order, welcoming all guests and visitors and

asked that we stand for an invocation.

On a motion by Councilmember Mayberry, seconded by Councilmember McDearmon, Council voted to.approve the consent agenda. All members present voting aye. Motion carried.

There was no public to comment.

Penny Taylor, President of the Appomattox County Chamber of Commerce presented Financial Statements from January 2004 — July 2004 and a Visitor's’ Tally Sheet.

On a motion by Councilmember McDearmon, the Utility Committee. . recommended the approval of an out of town water and sewer connection that was previously requested by Bill Jamerson for property owned by him on Rt. 691 for construction of a new church. All members present voting aye. Motion carried.
