On a motion by Mr. Mayberry, seconded by Mr. Lawson, Council voted to send a letter
of opposition to the proposed merger of United Airlines and U S Airways, and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Mitchell, seconded by Mrs. Bennett, Council voted to table the request for the Town to adopt a Resolution with regard to 911 for Appomattox until more information can be obtained and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
David Garrett, Jr., Town Manager gave a brief report of the activities of the Town. There being no further business to come before Council, the meeting adjourned. Borratel 2. roy MAYOR Ronald C. Spiggle, Mayor
