On a motion by Mr. Mayberry, seconded by Mr. McDearmon, Council voted to table the request from Jerry Childress for a conditional Use permit for auto sales in an Industrial Zone until the September meeting and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Mayberry, seconded by Mr. Mitchell, Council voted to appropriate at a not to exceed figure of $3000.00 towards the repair of a generator at the Lagoon and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. McDearmon, seconded by Mr. Mayberry, Council voted to accept the increase in premiums for Trigon Insurance for the Town of Appomattox with regret and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. McDearmon, seconded by Mr. Mayberry, Council voted to convene in closed session on the advice of legal counsel and in accordance with Section 2.1-344.A-7, subsection B of the State Code and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Appomattox Town Council hereby certifies that to the best of each members knowledge the Council discussed with legal counsel probable litigation as stated in the motion to convene into closed session.
