WHEREAS, The Town of Appomattox has received federal funds
authorized under the Housing and Community Development Act:
of 1974, as amended, and
WHEREAS, recipients of funding under the Act and in compliance with the Fair Housing Act of 1988 and the Virginia Fair Housing Law are required to affirmatively further fair housing;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Town Council of Appomattox hereby agrees to affirmatively further fair housing during the administration of the Community Development Block Grant through the adoption of this resolution and by distributing all program beneficiaries with a copy of the Department of Housing and Community Development’s fair housing brochure.

Earl Dickerson reported on the ISTEA project. We can not make the June meeting. of the Commonwealth Transportation Board but we will hopefully make the July meeting. Ninety days is:an adequate time for completion of this project.
Council set May 17, 1999 at 7:30 PM for a budget workshop.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
