On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Lawson, Council voted to hold a Public Hearing on the ISTEA Grant on January 8, 1996 at 7:00 PM and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
Councilman Lawson made the motion to go into Executive Session according to the following:
Pursuant to Virginia State Code Section 2.1-344 A. Personnel The motion was seconded by Mr. Carter.

On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Carter, Council voted to appoint Norman H. Mayberry to fill the unexpired term of W. H. Carson effective immediately thru June 30, 1996.

On a motion by Mr. Carter, seconded by Mr. Lawson, Council voted to recess and reconvene on December 27, 1995, at 5:00 PM and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.

adjourned the meeting.
