On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Lawson, Council voted to evoke an emergency provisions due to the immediate need and award the bid to the lowest bidder D. 8. Nash Construction Co and proceed with the project as soon as weather permits, and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.

On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Lawson, Council voted in accordance with Section 2.1-344, Subsection 1. Personnel, 3. Acquisition of Real Property, and 5. Business expansion, of the Code of Virginia to go into Executive Session.

Bass-aye Lawson-aye Mitchell-aye Pack-aye Mayberry-aye Motion carried.

On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Mayberry, Town Council reconvened into regular

session, in accordance with the provisions of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act; Section 2.

-1-344 of the Code of Virginia, requires certification by Council that the executive session conformed with Virginia Law, Council hereby certifies that only such public business matters as identified in the motion to go into Executive Session were discussed. The motion was passed with the following record vote:

Ayes: Bass, Lawson, Mayberry, Mitchell

Noes: None

Absent: 8. E. Carter

On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Mayberry, Council voted to deny the request for funding at the Historical Museum at this time but take the request in to consideration at our

budget time and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.

There being no further business to come before Council, the meeting adjourned.
