RECESSED AND RECONVENED MEETING - December 29, 1993
The recessed and reconvened meeting of the Appomattox Town Council was held on Wednesday, December 29, 1993 at 5:00 P.M.
Those present: W. H. Carson, S. E. Carter, R. W. Mitchell, H. W. Conner, R. L. Bass, and S&S. E. Lawson.
Others present: Bobbie H. Mullins, Clerk.
On a motion by Mr. Mitchell, seconded by Mr. Lawson, Council voted to pay the Audit bill for Insurance from J. A. Burke & Co. for the year 1990, and all those present voting aye. Motion carried. (bill was filed instead of being mailed to Town)
Mayor Spiggle reported on the Roof for the Town Office. Woodall and Lang already have the supplies on hand to re-do the Roof. After a lengthy discussion, the Council's consensus was the action taken previously will stand and the roof bill be repaired.
On a motion by Mr. Mitchell, seconded by Mr. Carson, Council voted to adopt the 1994 Town Budget as presented. (See attached copy).

On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Conner, Council voted to retain the same tax structure as 1993, .15 per $100 for real estate, .55 per $100 for personal property, and .55 for $100 of assessed value for merchant's capital.

On a motion by Mr. Mitchell, seconded by Mr. Bass, Council voted that the Salaries for Town Employees be set forth
as presented in the 1994 Town Budget and all those present voting aye. Motion carried. (See attached copy)
