Recessed and Reconvened Meeting - October 27, 1992
The recessed and reconvened meeting of the Appomattox Town Council was held on Tuesday, October 27, 1992, at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor Spiggle presiding.
Those members present were: H. W. Conner, Steve Lawson, R. L. Bas, W. H. CArson, 8S. E. Carter, and R. W. Mitchell.
Others present: David T. Garrett, Jr. and Bobbie Mullins, Clerk.
On a motion by Mr. S. E. Carter, and seconded by Mr. Lawson, Council voted to purchase the two wells from Fred Jones to be known as Well A and Well B, for a total price of $50,000 but we will purchase Well A now and take an option on Well B.
Bass-aye Carter-aye Carson-aye Conner-aye Mitcheli-aye Lawson=aye Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Conner, seconded by Mr. Lawson, Council voted to attempt to get free space in the newspaper to re-advertize the Leaf Collection areas and the dates that the truck will be in those areas, and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
