Regular Meeting - January 8, 1990
The regular meeting of the Appomattox Town Council was held on Monday, January 8, 1990 at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor Spiggle presiding.
Those members present: W. H. Carson, R. L. Bass, Marvin Mitchell, S. E. Carter, and H. W. Conner. Absent~Hubbard
Others present: Bobbie H. Mullins, Clerk The meeting was opened with a prayer. On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Carson, Council voted
to adopt the Agenda and all those present voting aye. Motion carried. .
On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Carson, Council voted to approve the regular minutes of the December 11, 1989, and the recessed and reconvened. meeting of December 27, 1989, and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Carter, seconded by Mr. Carson, Council voted to renew the lease for the Arts and Crafts Coop. with the usual stipulations and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
ON a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Conner, Council voted to offer the use of the Town Pick-up to Kent Hodges, for use in the operation of the Sewer Plant when the n ew 4-Wheel Drive pick-up comes in because Council feels this is necessary due to Kent's being subject to 24 hour call.

There being no further business to come before Council, the meeting adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
