Mayor Spiggle was requested to check on the liability insurance for the Police Department beings as we are now contracting to the Sheriff's Department for Police Services.
The Mayor reported on the replacement of several sidewalks in Town in need of repair. One on Oakleigh Avenue and the other in front of Coflin's Store. We will enter into an agreement with the Highway Department were we supply the Materials and they will supply the labor..
On a motion by Mr. Hubbard, seconded by Mr. Conner, Council voted to refer the request for a sidewalk on Court Street to the Street Committee and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Hubbard, Council voted to advertize their intent to adopt a Flood Plain Ordinance, at the August 14, 1989 méeting, and ail those present voting aye. Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Carter, Council voted to advertize our intent to amend and re-enact Section 13-2, License Generally, and hold a public hearing on August 14, 1989, at 7:00 P.M.
Bass-aye Conner-aye Carter-aye Mitchell-aye Hubbard-aye Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before Council, the meeting adjourned.
