Recessed and Reconvened Meeting - December 29, 1988
The recessed and reconvened meeting of the Appomattox Town Council was held on Thursday, December 29, 1988, at 5:00 P.M. with Mayor Spiggle presiding.
Those present were: R. C. Hubbard, W. H. Carson, R. L. Bass, Marvin Mitchell, S. E. Carter, and H. W. Conner.
Others present: Bobbie H. Mullins, Clerk.
Mayor Spiggle reported on the proposal from Alexander & Alexander on Workmen's Compensation.
On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Carson, Council voted to accept the proposal on Self-Insured Program for Workmen's Compensation.
Bass-aye Carter-aye Hubbard-aye Conner-aye Mitchell-aye Carson-aye Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Mitchell, Council voted to adopt the 1989 Budget for the Town of Appomattox. (see attached copy)
Bass~aye Carter-aye Carson-aye Conner-aye Mitchell-aye Hubbard-aye Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Mitchell, Council voted to adopt the Salary Scale as set forth in the 1989° budget and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before Council the meeting adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
