After much discussion on the Parking lot, Council authorized the Mayor to get prices on the paving of the Parking lot at the Town Office.
On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Hubbard, Council voted to renew the lease for the Arts & Crafts Coop, at $10.00 a month and all other conditions as set forth in the original lease.
Bass-aye Conner-aye Hubbard-aye Webb-aye Mitchell-aye Motion carried.
Council discussed the turning over of Commerce Street to the Virginia Department of Highways for construction and/or maintenance.. It was uncertain whether we needed to get an easement from Liberty Church or not.
Mayor Spiggle reported there will be a power outage on February 11, 1988 from 3:30 P.M. until approximately 6:00 P.M.
On a motion by Marvin Mitchell, seconded by Mr. Martin Webb, Council voted unanimously to go into Executive Session to discuss personnel.
Bass-aye Conner-aye Hubbard-aye Mitchell-aye Webb-aye Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Mitchell, seconded by Mr. Webb, Council voted to go back into regular session, and all those present voting aye. Motion carried. : |
Mr. Conner made the motion, seconded by Mr. Hubbard, Council voted ae to appropriate $1000.00 more from Administrative Miscellaneous, 2109,
making the Commissioner of Revenue $3000.00, and reducing Miscellaneous
to $4,500.00, and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
