It is the general consensus of Town Council to write letters to the businesses downtown about the increased problem about parking on Main Street and if this doesn't work, then we have a Town Police Officer enforce the 2 hour parking limit for Main Street.
On a motion by Mr. Conner, seconded by Mr. Hubbard, Council voted to adopt the following resolution:
Resolved, by the Appomattox Town Council at its regular scheduled meeting on January 11, 1988, that effective January 1, 1988,
the following policy will be in effect:
All Town Employees will when either operating or riding in a Town owned vehicle will wear his/her seat belt at all times,
There will be no unauthorized persons riding in or operating a Town owned. vehicle. An authorized person is hereby defined as a person on official Town Business...
