Bass-aye Carter-aye Conner-aye Webb-aye Hubbard-aye Noble-aye Motion carried.
It was general concensus of Town Council that the Council room be used only on a temporary basis for all organizations desiring a meeting place.
On a motion by Mr. Noble, seconded by Mr. Conner, Council referred
the question of a Flea Market in the Depot fo the Property Committee for their study and recommendations, and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
Mayor Spiggle reported that he has been served with papers on the suit being brought against the Town of Appomattox by 0.B. Garris, and the papers have been turned over to the Insurance Company.
On a motion by Mr. Noble, seconded by Mr. Conner, in accordance with Section 2.1-344 of the State Code, the Town Council went into Executive Session to discuss Personnel, and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Hubbard, Seconded by Mr. Carter, Council voted to reconvene into regular session at 8:59 P.M., and all those present voting aye. Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Conner, seconded by Mr. Noble, Council voted to
accept with regret the resignation of W. R. Britton, ur., as Town Manager effective February 17, 1986, and all those present voting aye.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before Council, the meeting adjourned at 9:02 P.M.
