ref: reel030889 date: 1985-04-08 content: It was general consensus that the Central Virginia Planning District Commission be requested to pull out the Town Zoning Ordinance and have several work sessions with Council to familiarize Council with these proposals.
Mr. Britton was requested to approach the County with a proposal that the County pay for pagers for the Fire Department, and allow the Town to reimburse them for our portion in 1986.
On a motion by Mr. Noble, seconded by Mr. Conner, Council voted to go into Executive Session in accordance with Section 2.1-344 Executive Session to discuss personnel, and all members present voting aye. Motion carried.
Mr. Hubbard made the motion, seconded by Mr. Noble, for Council to reconvene into regular session, and all members voting aye. Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Noble, seconded by Mr. Hubbard, Council voted to advertize for a working foreman position at a salary of $10,500.00.
Bass-aye Carter-aye Conner-aye Hubbard-aye Webb-aye Noble-aye motion carried.
There being no further business to come before Council, the meeting adjourned at 9:20 P.M.
