The minutes of the previous meeting and the reconvened meeting were approved on a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Carter.
Mr. Gordon reported on the Street & Light Committee meeting held on May 9, 1979.
Mr. Gordon made the motion, seconded by Mr. Conner, to have a Street Light installed at Mrs. R. L. Bass's residence on Morton Lane, and all members voted aye.
Mr. Bass made the motion, seconded by Mr. Lawson, to accept the recommendation of the Street Committee and pave the ditches on the south side of the Dr.'s Mathews & Frattrick Office as part of the Court Street Project.

It was the consensus of Town Council that now that the agreements are worked out with Mr. Pulliam, that Mr. Britton and the Town Attorney go to Mr. Barger again.
It was also Council's consensus that Mr. Britton go ahead and apply for the $151,000.00 HUD Funds to buy the pipe if funded.
Mr. Bass made the motion, seconded by Mr. Gordon, to adopt the Revised Affirmative Action Plan as drawn up by Town Manager Britton. (SEE ATTACHMENT #3)

On a motion by Mr. Lawson, seconded by Mr. Bass, Council voted to request the Appomattox County Board of Supervisors to re-appoint Sam Waddell to the Appomattox County Planning Commission and all members voted yes. Motion carried.
On a motion by Mr. Carter, seconded by Mr. Conner to adopt a corporate resolution that authorizes Mr. Britton and the Town Clerk, access to a Town credit card. (SEE ATTACHMENT #4)
