WHEREAS, the Appomattox Town Council is concerned with the possibility of an energy shortage; and
WHEREAS, all possible measures should be taken to conserve energy, we are now blessed with; and
WHEREAS, conservation should start on a local level; and
WHEREAS, reducing our total energy consumption should be a combined effort between local, State and Federal Governments; and
WHEREAS, the reduction of our total energy consumption by five per cent, would go a long way; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Appomattox Town Council shall see that all efforts shall be taken to insure Energy Conservation to the best of its ability.
Upon motion by Councilperson Conner, duly seconded by Councilperson Hubbard, adopted this 9th day of April, 1979, with six of six members of the Appomattox Town Council in attendance.
