Mr. Conner made the motion, seconded by Mr. Carter to authorize Mr. Britton to write a letter to Howard Anderson and Claude Anderson, stating that the Town of Appomattox is opposed to the training standards being imposed on Volunteer Rescue Squads, and also to write a letter to Governor John Dalton stating that we are opposed to this law being changed; and request that an amendment be added to exempt the Volunteer Rescue Squads from these training standards.

Mayor Spiggle requested all Councilmembers who would, to prepare a brief autobiography and submit them to him by the 6th of January 1979, for a lady who is writing a book on Appomattox.
On a motion by Mr. Lawson, seconded by Mr. Carter, Council voted to recess the meeting and reconvene on December 28, 1978 at 7:30 P.M.

Council requested the Clerk to send a copy of the previous meetings minutes with the agenda before the Council meetings.
The Council meeting was recessed at 9:20 A.M., to reconvene at 7:30 P.M., on December 28, 1978 to discuss the Facilities Plan and the HUD Projects.
