ref: reel030397 date: 1970-01-01 content: Mr. Britton reported that the Appomattox County Planning Commission has recommended adoption of the Appomattox Comprehensive Plan. Council delayed action on this recommendation until the new Council members have time to familiarize themselves with the Plan. Mr. Britton reported on the Environmental Impact Assessment for our Water Supply Line, and also the Economic Development Act possible funding for Town Projects. After some discussion by Council, a motion was made by Mr. Carter, seconded by Mr. Bass to do nothing toward this possible funding. Carter-aye Bass-aye Conner-aye Hubbard-aye Gordon-aye Lawson-aye Mr. Britton reported on obtaining some group Life Insurance for the Town Employees. No action was taken at this time. It was the Consensus of Council, that the large meeting room is solely the Firemen's and the decision of its use is up to them. Council approved the attendance of Mr. Britton at the HUD meeting in Richmond and the Energy Conference in Roanoke.
