A meeting of the Finance Committee was held on August 23, 1978 at 5:30 P.M.
Those present were Mr. Hubbard, Mr. Guill, and Mr. Spiggle.
On a motion by Mr. Hubbard, seconded by Mr. Spiggle, with all voting aye, to raise the Town Manager's County Salary, from $4800.00 per year to $6776.00, starting July 1, 1978.

Special Committee
A meeting of the Special Committee was held on August 10, 1978 at 4:00, in the Appomattox Town Office.
Members present were T. W. Lawson, R. L. Bass, and R. C. Spiggle. Also attending were Town Manager W. R. Britton, Jr.
On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Mr. Spiggle, with all voting aye, the Committee recommended to Council that the approval be given on the grievance procedure as prepared by the Town Manager.
