A lengthy discussion followed. Mr. Spiggle made a motion, seconded by Mr. House, to authorize Mr. Britton to write a letter of explanation and to go before the State Water Control Board and state our position if necessary. Mr. Britton requested permission to use the credit of $675.00 with Brown Morrison Company to purchase two calculators and a checkwriter. Council discussed this proposal. Mr. House made the motion, seconded by Mr. Spiggle, to purchase 1 calculator and 1 checkwriter out of the credit and all members voted yes.
Mr. Conner made the motion, seconded by Mr. Guill, all voting yes, to send Johnny Harris to the Central Virginia Community College class to learn to operate and become certified to operate a Sewerage Treatment Plant.
Mr. Spiggle presented a copy of an ordinance from Farmville concerning a curfew for teenagers. No action was taken.
On a motion by Mr. Bass, seconded by Spiggle, with all members voting yes, to extend indefinitely the time limit for the Town Manager to move to the Town of Appomattox.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
