Mr. Slagle explained the proposed amendments to the Town Subdivision Ordinance and indicated that these proposed changes will make the ordinance more workable for the administrator. Mr. House made the motion, seconded by Mr. Spiggle to adopt the proposed amendments to the Town Subdivision Ordinance. Ayes 6 Nays 0 Motion carried.
Mr. Slagle explained that in the original agreement with Thomasville we agreed to open the street up to the property of Thomasville. We also agreed to do this to provide access to a lot Mr. Hopkinson owns. Thomasville is deeding this tract of land to us in order that we can open this street.
Mr. Slagle reported we can employ summer help for the Town at no cost under the Employment Commission's summer help program. Council was of the opinion that we utilize this program.
Council voted to hold the VEPCO contract until the attorney and the Council has time to study this contract.
Council agreed to turn the Ball Park question over to the Property Recreation & Health Committee.
