A special meeting of the Appomattox Town Council was held on Monday, December 30, 1974, at 7:30 P.M.
Those present were Mayor H. B. Pack, Mr. R. C. Hubbard, Mr. M. J. House, Mr. R. C. Spiggle, Mr. T. E. Conner, and Mr. Burke Guill.
Mr. R. C. Hubbard presented the proposed budget for calendar year 1975 and made the motions seconded by House that it be adopted. Motion failed due to disagreements over the proposed salaries.

The Mayor called for a "division of the house" which confirmed the above count.
After much discussion, Conner made the motion seconded by Guill that an alternate salary schedule not including policemen be adopted (See copy attached).
Ayes 2 Nays 2 Abstaining 1
