ref: reel020499 date: 1969-10-20 content: The regular meeting of the Town Council was held in the Council Room on October 20, 1969 at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor H. B. Pack presiding.
Members present were Mrs. Gordon Robinson, R. L. Parr, Burke Guill, Trey Holland, R. B. Hubbard, and A. E. Webb.
The meeting opened with a prayer.
Dr. J. V. Torrence and Mr. Fred Wooldridge appeared before the Council to see what would be required of them to connect Hickory Street to the Town water and sewer systems. The Town Manager was instructed to meet with them and explain the terms.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Webb reported that the new Town-County fire truck was ready for delivery.
The Council decided that the Christmas lights should be turned on December 1.
The Mayor reported that Town officer Dillard Franklin had resigned as of October 15, 1969.
Mayor Pack reported on the progress made in collecting the back taxes.
The meeting adjourned.
