ref: reel020541 date: 1969-05-19 content: The regular meeting of the Appomattox Town Council was held in the Council Room on May 19, 1969 at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor H. B. Pace presiding.
Members present were Mrs. Calvin Robinson, R. L. Bass, Burke Snell, Trey Holland, R. E. Hubbard, and L. F. Webb.
The meeting was opened with a prayer.
Mr. Elon Johnson requested that the Council clean up the lot next to the lagoon. The Mayor said that it will be checked on.
Webb reported that the joint owned County-Town Fire Truck needed a new chassis. The Mayor said that he will check with the County and see what can be done.
The Mayor reported that Dillard L. Franklin has been employed as a part time policeman.
The meeting adjourned.
