ref: reel020399 date: 1963-06-17 content: The regular meeting of the Town Council met in the Mayor's Office on June 17, 1963, at 7:30 P.M., with Mayor S. R. Lawson presiding. The following members were present: Mrs. C. H. Robinson, Burke Guilli, Ivey Holland, C. Lewis McDearmon and T. R. Gilbert. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Motion was made by Ivey Holland seconded by Burke Guilli, that the Town accept from the Ferguson Estate the property known as Morton Lane as a public street provided that the said Ferguson Estate prepares the street at no cost to the town to meet the requirements of the State Highway Department before taking it into the state system. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Mrs. C. H. Robinson, seconded by T. R. Gilbert, that the Town request the Highway Department to take into the highway system Morton Lane for maintenance. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Ivey Holland; seconded by Burke Guilli, that the Town grant T. R. Kestner a permit to tap the town sewage and water system for a house trailer to be installed to specifications. Motion carried.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned to meet again on the regular meeting date of July 15, 1963.

SPECIAL MEETING
A special meeting of the Town Council met in the Mayor's Office on July 8, 1963, at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor S. R. Lawson presiding. The following members were present: Mrs. C. H. Robinson, Ivey Holland, Burke Guilli, T. R. Gilbert and C. Lewis McDearmon.
