ref: reel020386 date: 1962-03-19 content: The regular meeting of the Town Council met in the Mayor's Office on March 19, 1962, at 7:30 P.M., with Mayor S. R. Lawson presiding.
The following members were present: H. B. Pack; J. T. Almond; Mrs. C. H. Robinson; Ivey Holland; C. Lewis Hobgarron and T. R. Gilbert.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
A motion was made by J. T. Almond, seconded by H. B. Pack, that a telephone be installed in the fire house. Motion carried.
Motion was made by H. B. Pack, seconded by J. T. Almond, that the Town take an option on approximately 6 acres of land from Mr. E. O. Johnson for a sewer lagoon. Motion carried.
Motion was made by H. B. Pack, seconded by T. R. Gilbert, that the Town purchase a front end loader for the town tractor, 2/5 out of water, 2/5 out of sewer and 1/5 out of general funds. Motion carried.
