ref: reel020358 date: 1959-11-16 content: The regular meeting of the Town Council met in the Mayor's Office on November 16, 1959, at 7:30 P.M., with Mayor Chas. T. Moses, presiding. The following members were present: J. T. Almond, Mrs. C. H. Robinson, Dr. S. R. Lawson, Ivey Holland, and Randolph Gilbert. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Motion was made by Mrs. C. H. Robinson, seconded by J. T. Almond, That the Town extend the parking meter holiday until January 1, 1960. Motion carried.
Motion was made by S. R. Lawson, seconded by Ivey Holland, That the regular meeting of the Town Council be held on December 14, 1959, instead of the regular date of December 21. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Ivey Holland seconded by S. R. Lawson, That the Firemen put up the Christmas lights in time to be turned on by December 1, 1959. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mrs. C. H. Robinson, seconded by Dr. Lawson, That the building permit of Mr. E. L. Fields be approved with the reservation that the Town will not furnish sewer or water to the house. Motion carried.
