ref: reel020345 date: 1959-01-19 content: The regular meeting of the Town Council met in the Mayor's office on January 19, 1959, with Mayor Charles T. Moses, Jr., presiding. The following members were present: C. Lewis McDearmon, C. C. Poe, T. Hunter Dickerson, John S. Grinels, J. C. Caldwell, and G. E. Smith. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read. A motion was made by J. C. Caldwell, seconded by C. Lewis McDearmon, that the Town buy from Fred Lawson at $2000.00 if the truck will meet the Town's need. Motion carried. A motion was made by G. E. Smith, seconded by C. Lewis McDearmon, that the business license for the Lee Theatre be cut from $25.00 to $10.00 for the year of 1959. Motion carried.
