ref: reel020343 date: 1958-11-17 content: BE IT RESOLVED, By the Town Council of the Town of Appomattox that it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle upon the streets of the said Town recklessly or at a speed or in a manner so as to endanger life, limb or property of any person. Upon a conviction of a violation of this ordinance, such person shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $500.00 or by confinement in jail not exceeding twelve months, or both.
Motion carried.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned to meet again on the regular meeting date of November 17, 1958.

The regular meeting of the Town Council met in the Mayor's Office on November 17, 1958, with Mayor Chas. T. Moses, Jr., presiding.
The following members were present: C. Lewis McDearmon, G. E. Smith, C. G. Poe, J. C. Caldwell, and John S. Grinels.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
A Motion was made by C. Lewis McDearmon, seconded by John Grinels, That the Town buy a 5,000-gallon tank for asphalt. Motion carried.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned to meet again on the regular meeting date of December 15, 1958.
