ref: reel020331 date: 1957-12-09 content: SPECIAL MEETING A special meeting of the Town Council met in the Mayor's Office on December 9, 1957, at 7:00 o'clock with Mayor C. T. Moses, Jr., presiding. The meeting was called for the purpose of discussing installation of parking meters. The following members were present: C. Lewis McDearmon, John S. Grinels, C. C. Poe, J. G. Caldwell, T. Hunter Dickerson, and G. E. Smith. A motion was made by C. Lewis McDearmon, seconded by G. E. Smith, That the Town purchase and install 50 new parking meters and as many additional used parking meters that are necessary. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned. Signed Chas. T. DECEMBER 1957 The regular meeting of the Town Council met in the Mayor's Office on December 16, 1957, at 7:30 P.M., with Mayor Chas. T. Moses, Jr., presiding. The following members were present: J. G. Caldwell, C. Lewis McDearmon, G. E. Smith, C. C. Poe, John S. Grinels, and T. Hunter Dickerson. A motion was made by J. C. Caldwell, seconded by G. E. Smith, That the town accept the highest bid for the Old Town Dump of $226.00 to Mr. M. E. Gordon. Motion carried. The following bids were received: M. E. Gordon - $226.00, V. D. Thomas - $85.00, M. S. House - $99.63, O. J. Davidson - $105.00, J. T. Irby - $159.00, and Herman T. Johnson - $150.00. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read. A motion was made by John S.
